You’re a Review Pro overseeing the safe construction of your city

You’re a Review Pro, overseeing the safe construction of your city. Problem is, you have more plan submittals and resubmittals than you can track and more rolled plans than storage space.

We can’t shrink your plan submittals, but we can shrink your workload and storage requirements. When Review Pros get serious, they turn to MyGov. At MyGov, we automate everything.

What do you struggle with?

I struggle tracking so many plan sets!

If you have several reviewers looking at the same paper plan set or viewing copies of the same plan set, it can be really difficult figuring out who has reviewed, the current review status, the latest correction notes or even where a plan set is presently located.

With MyGov, all reviews use the same electronic plan sheets – including all markups and correction items. Statuses, markups, corrections, stamps and signatures are easily seen online by each reviewer and the applicant.

I spend too much time managing plan resubmittals!

When all reviewers are done, MyGov automatically sends the applicant:

  • a combined list of all correction items, and
  • a link to the plan sheets to resubmit and a view of all plan sheets with their respective markups and corrections.

As the required items are resubmitted, the responsible reviewers are notified and can start their next review cycle. This cycle repeats until all required items are addressed. Then, the reviewers can mass stamp and sign all of the final approved plan sheets.

Managing markups and corrections is time consuming!

Each reviewer can add markups and corrections and can elect to view or hide any other markups or corrections from any other reviewer. This allows you to view items you need to see or hide items that are in your way.

To speed up adding corrections, MyGov includes checklists where you can park your common corrections. This allows you to easily pin a correction item directly to a plan sheet or pin an item within a markup.

I get frustrated comparing and updating plan sheets!

Often, you will receive a required, revised plan sheet that looks just like the one you just reviewed. With MyGov, you can use the built-in “Overlay” tool to overlay the old sheet with the new one so that any differences are clearly visible in bright red.

Also, you may have a plan set that has a ton of sheets, and you need to update each sheet. MyGov includes a mass action tool for doing things like changing the status, reassigning reviewers, mass delete, stamp or sign.

It’s difficult distributing plans for viewing.

Let’s face it. An approved plan set needs to be viewed by many people involved in the project, such as the developer, contractors, sub-contractors, architects and engineers as well as agency staff and inspectors.

With MyGov’s Electronic Plan Review module, everyone with approved access can view the approved plan sets online. Works great on a tablet. Much better than hauling paper plan sets around.

I don’t have enough space or time for storing or finding plans.

Do you find yourself trying to squeeze more and more paper plan sets into a finite amount of space? Unless you can or want to add more space, it might be time to go digital.

Once you finally store a plan set, do you then struggle finding it again as more and more plan sets are added? With MyGov, you just open the project, and all your related electronic plan sheets will be easily viewable by you and the applicant.

What Our Users Are Saying

Before Chickasha implemented the MyGov system, we lacked access to a customizable software system that could be configured to our agency’s needs and established systems. Now, with the Electronic Plan Review module, we can receive digital blueprints, auto-distribute to appropriate viewers and edit as needed.
