You’re a Code Pro keeping your city safe and clean

You’re a Code Pro, keeping your city safe and clean. Problem is, your Enforcement Area is rather expansive, and so is your workload. Managing abatements, demos and new citizen complaints can be overwhelming. What about those reinspections? So many reinspections.

We can’t shrink your Enforcement Area, but we can shrink your workload. When Code Pros get serious, they turn to MyGov. At MyGov, we automate everything.

What do you struggle with?

I spend too much time preparing documents!

Compiling the current owner, case and violation information for documents takes a lot of time. We handle this automatically by auto-updating owner information then automatically generating completed documents.

Do you work in the field, then mass print the letters later in the office? We can do that.

Do you use certified mail? We auto-update tracked mail using the USPS tracking API.

I lose too much time researching owner information!

Searching on a state or county website for owner information then copying and pasting into your current system is time consuming.

We solve this by automatically updating location and owner information. This means you will no longer need to look up current owner information, since it will already be in your MyGov Code Enforcement software.

It’s frustrating finding addresses on vacant lots.

You’re working in the field with property that has no posted address and maybe no point of reference. Now what?

If you use MyGov, simply click the “Find Me” feature in the GIS Mapping Tool to find yourself on the map. Select a parcel and open a case or violation. Or, if you’re in the office, plot the case on the map and route.

I worry about missing case deadlines.

How do you track so many cases, inspections, requirements and deadlines? Solve with MyGov’s built-in workflow automation tool. Your trainer will help you craft the perfect workflow to prompt or automatically trigger reminders at just the right time. No need to worry again about missing deadlines!

It’s difficult tracking abatements.

Let’s face it. It can be hard to track abatements when you are not the one doing the abatement. We can help. For external contractors, we auto-notify the right contractor when jobs are created and give them an interface to keep you updated.

For internal jobs, like when your Public Works department is doing the abatement, we automatically create a “Job” in the Work Order module where your internal users can provide you the required feedback as well as job cost which will automatically update your case.

I don’t want to have to respond to every complaint.

If your agency allows online complaints, then you may get a bunch. But how do you provide useful feedback to so many without spending a lot of time or letting them fall through the cracks?

With MyGov, complaints automatically receive status updates as you process your case. This allows you to just do your job knowing that any feedback requirements are met.

What Our Users Are Saying

Our previous software did not meet the department’s needs related to caseload and organization of information. MyGov streamlined the process for code enforcement and building permits by giving us a comprehensive way to track cases, permits and inspections.

Frequently Asked Questions

Price

How much is this going to cost?

Click the button below and fill out the form, and we will send you a proposal.

Time

How long is this going to take?

Most agencies install Code Enforcement in six weeks. Time depends mostly on how quickly you submit the requested items. We will get our part done according to the six-week implementation plan.

Training

What kind of training will we receive?

Excellent, online training from a dedicated trainer who will teach you how to run your system using your actual setup. Also, if you forget something, add new people or want to learn something totally new, all training is available to you using the built-in “MyGovU” – our online video learning platform.

Support

What is your support like?

Crazy fast with an average response time of less than four minutes on submitted support tickets. Yes, we use support tickets for all support questions. You are also welcome to call us, but the call will convert to a support ticket since this is our audit trail of all support interactions.

Imports

Can you import my old data?

Yep, we have a built-in import tool just for Code Enforcement. You can use the tool without us, or hire us to clean your data then use the tool. FYI, we also have built-in import tools for related data sets, such as locations, owners and contacts.

System Requirements

Are there any additional hardware or software I need to buy?

Yes and No. No, in that the system runs on any device that has Internet access and a browser. Yes, if you want to conduct work in the field, you need a good tablet with a cell connection to the Internet and a built-in camera. We highly recommend all Code Officers have a field tablet.

Other Modules

Are there other modules that are required or recommended?

You can run Code Enforcement by itself, but most agencies also use the Request Manager, the GIS Mapping Tool and the Liens & Collections modules. The GIS Mapping Tool routes your inspections, plots your cases and violations and allows you to start cases and violations from the map. The Liens & Collections module allows you to manage all lien activity such as filing liens, printing liens and lien releases, charging interest, calculating payoffs and accepting online payments.

Getting Started

How do I get started?

Start with a brief consultation. We’ll ask a few questions to see how well our solutions fit your needs. If we are a good fit, then we will set a demonstration. If you like what you see, we will send you a quote. Once you approve the quote, we will send you a contract for signature and an implementation schedule with a go-live date.
