You’re a Development Pro managing building projects across your community

You’re a Development Pro, managing building projects across your community. Problem is, there are those outside of your agency who need to participate in this process; otherwise, more work is added to your team.

Solve this with MyGov and allow these collaborators to participate seamlessly online via the Collaborator Portal. When Development Pros get serious, they turn to MyGov. At MyGov, we automate everything.

What do you struggle with?

I spend too much time answering collaborator’s questions!

Development activity can generate a lot of questions related to applications, reviews, fees due, payments, inspections, permits, credentials, licenses, credentials, etc.

With MyGov’s Collaborator Portal, your collaborators see all of their relevant information, so they can easily answer questions they normally call you about. Better yet, with one login, your collaborators can get all of their needed answers from every agency they work with that uses MyGov.

I need my development community to work fully online.

Your development projects have a lot of moving parts, including online applications, plan submittals, resubmittals, reviews, inspections, etc. – each part needing specific online interaction with your collaborators.

With MyGov, you can grant access to anyone to collaborate on a project, which allows them to participate according to their role. Common roles include applicant, owner, builder, developer, architect, engineer, sub-contracts, etc.

I struggle getting collaborators to keep their licenses and credentials updated!

You probably handle a lot of different license and credential types, each with their own renewal timeframes, costs and requirements. How do you get your license and credential holders to renew, pay or submit the required information before expiration?

With MyGov’s Collaborator Portal, each license and credential holder clearly sees a dashboard widget as well as a notification list of upcoming expirations. Using the portal, they can easily renew these licenses and credentials, apply for new ones, respond to corrections and comments, and submit any required information.

I struggle tracking abatements assigned to external contractors.

If you send Code Enforcement abatement jobs to external contractors, then MyGov has a solution just for you. With the Collaborator Portal, external abatement contractors fully participate in the lifecycle of the abatement jobs.

With the Collaborator Portal, your selected contractors receive abatement job requests. If they accept, they are then prompted to complete the request and the required items according to your set schedule. Code Officers are automatically notified of key updates, and the case is auto-updated with the needed abatement information.

I spend too much time sending old data to collaborators!

MyGov’s Collaborator Portal not only keeps collaborators apprised of all current activity but allows them to see all historical activity, including credentials, permits, licenses, abatement jobs, etc.

It also allows them to view and print past correction notes, pictures and documents, including licenses, credentials, permits, certificates of occupancy, receipts and invoices.

We were struggling to keep our department and desks organized. No one knew what anyone else was doing or had done without digging through mountains of paper. MyGov has been a tremendously valuable asset and we look forward to working with them for years to come.

Time

How long is this going to take?

Most agencies install the Collaborator Portal in six weeks. Time depends mostly on how quickly you submit the requested items. We will get our part done according to the agreed to implementation plan.

Training

What kind of training will we receive?

Excellent, online training from a dedicated trainer who will teach you how to run your system using your actual setup. Also, if you forget something, add new people or want to learn something totally new, all training is available to you using the built-in “MyGovU” – our online video learning platform.

Support

What is your support like?

Crazy fast with an average response time of less than four minutes on submitted support tickets. Yes, we use support tickets for all support questions. You are also welcome to call us, but the call will convert to a support ticket since this is our audit trail of all support interactions.

Imports

Can you import my old data?

Yep, we have a built-in import tool just for all modules that feed the Public Portal. You can use the tool without us, or hire us to clean your data then use the tool. FYI, we also have built-in import tools for related data sets, such as locations, owners and contacts.

System Requirements

Are there any additional hardware or software I need to buy?

Yes and No. No, in that the system runs on any device that has Internet access and a browser. Yes, if you want to conduct work in the field, you need a good tablet with a cell connection to the Internet and a built-in camera.

Other Modules

Are there other modules that are required or recommended?

The Collaborator Portal allows your clients to work directly with you via the Credential Manager, Permits & Inspections, Business License or Code Enforcement modules. You will need one of these modules for the portal to be useful.
