Before we worked with MyGov, we didn’t have the ability to produce Notices to building owners from the field that had pictures. With MyGov, our Code Officers use tablets in the field to see the property history, take pictures, associate to violations and generate a corrections list.
Before MyGov, we were still using a paper notepad to track our work orders so we had no way of knowing the status of a work order when residents called. MyGov helps us give the residents an immediate update on the work order, helps track cost and documents the work completed.
Before MyGov we were using an inefficient software platform to perform permitting and code enforcement. The software did not allow us to share data or route specific tasks. Now we feel like we have a large burden lifted from our back allowing us to perform our duties.
We changed our permitting software in April 2009 over to MyGov. Since that time, we have enjoyed having a system that works well and is easy to use. When our processes change, the software allows us to change. MyGov is one of the best changes we have made.
