You’re a Permit Pro overseeing the safe development of your city

You’re a Permit Pro, overseeing the safe development of your city. Problem is, your workload is bigger than your team. With reviews, inspections and a thousand questions hitting your permit desk each day, you sure could use some additional warm bodies.

We can’t expand your team, but we can shrink your workload. When Permit Pros get serious, they turn to MyGov. At MyGov, we automate everything.

What do you struggle with?

I spend too much time answering questions!

Do you feel like you’re the secretary for every contractor working in your city? If they have a question about their project, they call you, right?

With MyGov’s included Collaborator Portal, the contractor can see everything they need to know. Also, as soon as an inspection is completed, a permit issued or fees are due, they get instant notification, so there is no need to call you.

I spend too much time sending reports to people!

Everyone wants permit data – vendors, managers, council members and data resellers. Compiling and distributing custom reports takes a lot of time.

With MyGov’s included Report Builder, you can easily set up custom reports that run at set times, auto-distribute these to an email list or allow people to subscribe to these reports via the included Public Portal.

Managing address information is time consuming!

For building permits, especially when CO’s are involved, you need the correct address, owner and legal description. If you have to type this or check it each time, it can be time consuming.

If you use MyGov, we will auto-update your address, owner and legal information from your chosen source, whether it be from an Appraisal District or an ArcServer REST API.

I get frustrated creating the needed documents!

You need several documents – permits, temporary CO’s and permanent CO’s, etc. How do you create these? Manually? With a word processing template?

With MyGov, key documents generate automatically based on your preferred workflow. Not only do they generate automatically, they also distribute automatically.

It’s difficult tracking plan reviews and resubmittals.

Let’s face it. When you post your review notes, resubmittals that should be submitted as one nice, complete package often come in piecemeal and from various contributors. This makes it difficult to track and to review.

With MyGov’s Electronic Plan Review module, your contributors can resubmit required sheets from multiple locations, and cannot send them to you unless they have resubmitted all required sheets. (However, if you prefer, you can still allow them to resubmit any sheet at any time.)

I don’t have enough time to handle all my inspections.

Do you find yourself trying to squeeze more and more inspections into less and less time? Unless you can add more inspectors or have a magic wand, it might be time to automate.

Now, we can’t give you more inspectors, and our magic is limited to software, but we have automated the entire inspection process from online inspection requests and results to online scheduling, load-balancing, routing and inspection checklists and corrections.

What Our Users Are Saying

Before MyGov, we were using an inefficient software platform to perform permitting and code enforcement. The software did not allow us to share data or route specific tasks. Now, we feel we have a large burden lifted, allowing us to perform our duties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Price

How much is this going to cost?

Click the button below and fill out the form, and we will send you a proposal.

Time

How long is this going to take?

Most agencies install Permits in six weeks. Time depends mostly on how quickly you submit the requested items. We will get our part done according to the six-week implementation plan.

Training

What kind of training will we receive?

Excellent, online training from a dedicated trainer who will teach you how to run your system using your actual setup. Also, if you forget something, add new people or want to learn something totally new, all training is available to you using the built-in “MyGovU” – our online video learning platform.

Support

What is your support like?

Crazy fast with an average response time of less than four minutes on submitted support tickets. Yes, we use support tickets for all support questions. You are also welcome to call us, but the call will convert to a support ticket since this is our audit trail of all support interactions.

Imports

Can you import my old data?

Yep, we have a built-in import tool for Permits. You can use the tool without us, or hire us to clean your data then use the tool. FYI, we also have built-in import tools for related data sets, such as locations, owners and contacts.

System Requirements

Are there any additional hardware or software I need to buy?

Yes and No. No, in that the system runs on any device that has Internet access and a browser. Yes, if you want to conduct work in the field, you need a good tablet with a cell connection to the Internet and a built-in camera. We highly recommend all Inspectors have a field tablet.

Other Modules

Are there other modules that are required or recommended?

You can run Permits by itself, but most agencies also use the Credential Manager and the GIS Mapping Tool. The GIS Mapping Tool routes your inspections, plots your permit and inspection activity and allows you to start permits from the map. The Credential Manager allows you to manage contractor credentials, including online applications and renewals while blocking permits or inspections if a credential is missing or invalid.

Getting Started

How do I get started?

Start with a brief consultation. We’ll ask a few questions to see how well our solutions fit your needs. If we are a good fit, then we will set a demonstration. If you like what you see, we will send you a quote. Once you approve the quote, we will send you a contract for signature and an implementation schedule with a go-live date.
